Galwolie Cottage, Doochary
Where We Are
Galwolie Cottage is 2.5km outside the village of Doochary (An Dúchoraidh), and 13km from Dungloe (An Clochan Liath) in West Donegal, an area which is predominantly Gaeltaecht (where Irish is spoken and road signs are in Irish).
DIRECTIONS
From Doochary to Galwolie Cottage:
Coming from Letterkenny, drive past the post office and take the next road to the left, signposted for Leitir Mac a' Bhaird (Lettermacaward).
Drive for approx. 5km. Look for a blue and yellow house on the right.
Opposite the house, you will see a small road to the right. Drive up the road, opening and closing the farm gate. After the gate, you will see Galwolie Cottage behind the fir trees to the left.
From Letterkenny to Doochary
Coming from Derry/Lifford direction, follow the signs for An Clochán Liath (Dungloe) or Glenties. Once through Letterkenny, you are on the R250.
After 8km, take a left turn, signposted for Glenties/An Clochán Liath/Fintown. At the end of this road, turn right; drive through Fintown, and immediately take a right for Doochary, signposted An Dúchoraidh/An Clochán Liath. Doochary is 8km.
